What Stripe charges, and what we don’t

You bring your own Stripe account, so your club is the merchant of record and families pay you directly. Stripe’s standard processing fee applies to those payments and goes to Stripe. Ubouk adds nothing on top of it — our 0% is our own cut, not a claim that card processing is free.

Billed in USD, wherever you are

Every plan is charged in US dollars. If your club banks in pounds, euros or Canadian dollars, your card issuer sets the rate on the day and some cards add a foreign-transaction fee — worth a word with your treasurer before the budget goes to the board. We’d rather say it here than have it surprise you on the first invoice.

If your platform takes a percentage

It comes out of the payments. If your platform takes a percentage of every registration, here is what that costs across a year — with card processing counted on both sides, because you pay it either way.

Two things widen the gap

Instalments. A per-transaction fee is charged on every payment, not every registration — so a club that lets families pay dues in four pays it four times. It is the line that does the most damage and the one no rate card mentions.

Growth. A percentage costs your club more every year it grows, on money you worked harder to collect. A flat monthly price doesn’t move — a season with a hundred more players costs you exactly the same here.

What happens when our season ends?

Nothing changes and nothing is charged differently. There is no seasonal or per-registration pricing to true up at year end — the plan is the same in your quiet months as in your registration rush, which is the point of a flat price.

Who owns our data?

Your club does. Participants, registrations, payment history, forms and rosters are yours, and you can export them to spreadsheet at any time from inside the app — not by raising a ticket and waiting. Payments go to your own Stripe account, so your payout history lives with your bank, not with us.

How hard is it to move from our current platform?

You start with your next season rather than a year of history. Set up your programs, publish them, open registration — that is the move. Past participants and payment history stay where they are on your current platform, so there is nothing to unpick or reconcile before you can take a sign-up. We are on call through your first registration opening, the week that actually matters.

Can we cancel?

Yes, from your own billing settings — no phone call and no retention queue. Monthly plans stop at the end of the month you cancel in; annual plans run to the end of the term you paid for. Export your data on the way out.

Do families pay anything to register?

No. Family accounts are free, and we add no booking fee, service fee or convenience charge at checkout. Whatever your club sets as its registration fee is what a family is asked for — plus whatever your own Stripe account costs you to accept the card, which comes out of your side, not theirs.

Is there a free trial?

No, and deliberately. Registration software is only worth judging with your own programs, your own forms and your own families in it, and that takes longer than any trial window.
